North Channel 3D announces strategic service partnership with pivot AM to support UnionTech Customers Across North America

Partnership combines decades of stereolithography service expertise with an established team of experienced field engineers across North America

CHASKA, Minn. — September 22, 2026 — North Channel 3D, the North American commercial partner for UnionTech industrial additive manufacturing solutions, today announced a strategic partnership with Pivot AM Service to provide field service and technical support for UnionTech customers across the United States and Canada.

The partnership brings together UnionTech’s industrial additive manufacturing technology, North Channel 3D’s commercial, application and technical capabilities, and Pivot AM’s deep experience servicing industrial additive manufacturing equipment in the field.

Pivot AM’s history in stereolithography (SLA) stretches back to the earliest days of the technology. Pivot AM Co-Founder and General Manager Dennis Fogle entered the additive manufacturing industry in 1988 as the first service engineer for stereolithography technology and has spent his career supporting industrial additive manufacturing equipment.

That experience extends well beyond the company’s leadership. Today, Pivot AM has a large team of experienced field engineers supporting industrial additive manufacturing equipment throughout North America, providing the geographic coverage and technical depth required to support production customers at scale.

“When we started thinking about how we wanted to support UnionTech customers in North America, we knew we didn’t want to spend years trying to build a field service organization from scratch,” said Paul Carlson, Founder of North Channel 3D. “Pivot gives us something that is very difficult to replicate, decades of SLA experience combined with a large team of experienced field engineers already supporting industrial additive equipment across North America. It allows us to provide customers with a mature service infrastructure from day one.”

As part of the partnership, Pivot AM field engineers are completing hands-on technical training alongside North Channel 3D personnel with UnionTech engineers at North Channel 3D’s Chaska, Minnesota facility. The training includes installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of UnionTech industrial SLA equipment.

“Pivot has been supporting industrial additive manufacturing equipment for decades, and we’ve learned that great technology is only part of what makes a customer successful,” said Dennis Fogle, Co-Founder and General Manager of Pivot AM Service. “Customers also need knowledgeable people they can rely on when they need help. We already support some legacy Uniontech customers and are impressed with what North Channel 3D and UnionTech are building in North America.  We’re excited to leverage our field service experience and technical team to the partnership and help UnionTech customers get the most out of their equipment.”

The partnership will provide UnionTech customers with access to experienced North American technical resources throughout the equipment lifecycle, including installation and commissioning, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and ongoing technical support.

For North Channel 3D, the partnership represents an important component of its strategy to build a complete North American infrastructure around UnionTech’s industrial additive manufacturing portfolio.

“Our goal isn’t simply to sell equipment,” Carlson added. “Customers need to know that the people, parts and technical resources are here to support their investment for years after installation. Partnering with Pivot gives us the experience, coverage and scale to deliver on that commitment.”
